Keto crab cakes

Crab cakes are a quick and easy dish that can be eaten as an appetizer or a snack. They’re made with delicious lumps of crab meat, mayonnaise and almond flour seasoned to perfection with old bay seasoning.

Ingredients –

8 ounces lump crab meat

¼ onion, diced

¼ cup almond flour

1 egg

2 tbsp mayonnaise

1 tsp Old bay seasoning

¼ tsp pepper

2 tbsp butter or keto-friendly oil

2 tbsp spring onions, chopped


Ingredients to make 3 tbsp of Old bay seasoning-

1 tbsp celery salt

2 tsp ground bay leaves

2 tsp smoked paprika

1.5 tsp ground black pepper

1 tsp ground mustard

¼ tsp allspice

¼ tsp cayenne

1 pinch ground cinnamon

1 pinch ground nutmeg

1 pinch ground ginger

Directions –

  1. Mix the crab meat, onion, almond flour, egg, mayo, old bay seasoning, pepper and spring onions in a bowl.
  2. Make 6 evenly formed patties with the mixture.
  3. Heat butter or oil on a pan over medium flame.
  4. Fry each patty for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Flip and fry the other side until golden brown.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
