Keto gulab jamun

Keto-friendly sweets and desserts are a great way to satisfy your sweet-tooth after a spicy meal. Low-carb gulab jamuns are soft and have the right macros for a ketogenic diet.

1 cup ricotta cheese

¼ cup almond flour

¼ cup coconut flour

½ tsp xanthan gum

½ tsp baking powder

½ cup erythritol

3-4 green cardamom, powdered

1.5 cup water

Keto-friendly oil for deep frying

  1. In a bowl, mix cheese, almond flour, coconut flour, xanthan gum, and baking powder.
  2. Knead to form a soft fine dough. Set aside for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Take water in saucepan on medium flame.
  4. Add in the erythritol and cardamom powder.
  5. Let the syrup cool for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Take the dough and make small smooth balls for your gulab jamuns.
  7. Grease your hands with a little oil to ensure the dough doesn’t stick to your palms.
  8. Make 20 gulab jamuns and fry them in oil on medium flame.
  9. Keep an eye while frying because these gulab jamuns brown faster than regular gulab jamuns.
  10. Soak the gulab jamun balls in the sweet syrup for half an hour. Serve and enjoy!
