Keto teriyaki salmon

Keto teriyaki salmon involves a keto-friendly version of the teriyaki sauce that is made with monk fruit brown sugar or allulose. A low-carb teriyaki salmon savours the similar enriching goodness of an originally-made teriyaki salmon and guarantees the perfect dish for a strict keto diet.


2 salmon fillets 

1 tsp ginger, peeled and minced

2 garlic cloves, minced

1.5 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce

1 tsp allulose or monk fruit brown sugar

1 tsp rice wine vinegar

4 tbsp keto friendly oil

1 scallion greens, sliced (optional)

½ tsp sesame seed (optional)


Directions –

  1. Add in the ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sweetener, vinegar, and 2 tbsp of oil in a dish and whisk together.
  2. Place the salmon fillets on the marinade and coat them evenly on both sides with the sauce.
  3. Cover and marinate in refrigerator for 30-60 minutes.
  4. Heat the remaining 2 tbsp of oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Add the salmon to the pan with the skin-side facing down.
  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes and pour the marinade over the fillets.
  7. Cook both sides for 5-6 minutes.
  8. Garnish the teriyaki salmon with scallion greens and sesame seeds. Serve and enjoy!
