Low-carb creamy mushroom chicken

A low-carb creamy mushroom chicken is hands-down the most delicious keto-friendly dish. It is super creamy and super smooth and makes up the best dinner meal with sufficient carbs to stick by a strict keto diet.


1.5 pounds boneless chicken thighs

1.5 pounds mushrooms, chopped

4 tbsp butter

3 garlic cloves, minced

2 tbsp keto-approved oil

1.25 cups heavy whipping cream

2 oz parmesan cheese, grated

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp dried thyme

½ tsp dried rosemary

1 tsp oregano

Salt and pepper


Directions –

  1. In a bowl, add chicken thighs, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, rosemary, oregano, salt and pepper.
  2. Combine well and coat the chicken with seasonings on both sides.
  3. Heat butter in a pan over medium flame.
  4. Add garlic and fry until fragrant.
  5. Add in the mushrooms and fry until they’re well-cooked.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Remove and set aside.
  8. Heat oil on the pan over medium flame and fry the seasoned chicken for 7-8 minutes on each side.
  9. Once the chicken is cooked, remove and keep warm.
  10. Add in the cream and cheese on the pan and bring to boil.
  11. Simmer for roughly 4-5 minutes while stirring continuously to thicken the sauce.
  12. Add in the mushrooms as well as the chicken thighs. Serve and enjoy!
